Helping those who need it most - children
Join me in helping make a difference in Escuintla, Guatemala
My name is Anya Shram, I am sixteen years old and I am passionate about
helping people who need it the most, children. I’ve always believed you should
help people whenever you get the chance. For this reason I have a commitment to
provide essential nutrients to a group of babies and young children who live in
Escuintla, Guatemala.
I am working with the Bountiful Children Foundation, with over ten years of
experience in providing this valuable service in many countries. I believe that
stable nutrition is essential for infants and children in their early childhood
to ensure they grow and develop to live their best lives. But sometimes getting
this food and water is a challenge, that’s where you can help. Bountiful
Children has local trained volunteers to look after 60-90 children and their
mothers.
Escuintla has faced a deadly volcanic eruption from the volcano Fuego 3 years
ago. People of small villages are still recovering, doing anything to earn
money. Mothers and childern go to streams and rivers searching for volcanic
rock to sell, with limited money and resources families have been struggling
with the nutrition of their children: babies to kids.
I need your help! Any amount is important and appreciated. With your help we
can reach our goal of $6,000 to help supply the children of Escuintla,
Guatemala so they can have all the nutrients they need, to develop and grow up
to be their best selves.
